DABC Tourney returns July 31

The annual Dublin Athletic Booster Club Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament has been set for Saturday, July 31, at PAR Country Club. Entry fees for the 4-person scramble are $50 per person or $200 per team. All entry fees include green fees, cart, breakfast and lunch. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m.

“WE NEED HELP,” a July 4 post on the Erath County Humane Society began. At that time, the facility was “way over capacity” with 91 dogs and 97 cats.

Free event promises kids fun, education

Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center and STAR Council are partnering for a free morning of valuable information and fun for kids. The event will be held Wednesday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Dublin’s Little Authors (113 E. Blackjack).

Calvary VBS starts Monday

Calvary Fellowship Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, July 12-July 14 from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. The event is open for student kindergarten through 4th grade and will conclude with family night at Dublin City Pool from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Baylor honors local students

A Dublin native and other locals were among more than 4,700 Baylor University students who have been named to the Dean’s Academic Honor List for the Spring 2021 semester. The Dean’s Academic Honor List recognizes Baylor undergraduates for their outstanding academic work during each semester.

Dublin Market to return July 17

Plan now for the Dublin Market on July 17 in Wright Park. We expect a proper number of vendors and more produce and products for your perusal. It will be a fine market with friends and unique and fun things to see and buy. And now is the time to plan to participate. We are welcoming new vendors.

Greens Creek Baptist Church VBS set July 26-30

Greens Creek Baptist Church will have their annual Vacation Bible School July 26-30 from 8:45 a.m. to noon each day. Theme for this year’s event is Concrete Cranes - Look up-way up. That’s where the lesson is headed.

Community invited to free screening tonight

The community is invited to a free screening of “The Light of Virsa,” a Christian epic produced by the Vining Sisters and scored by 18-year-old Erath resident Diego Campos. The screening will be held today (July 8) at Tarleton’s Clyde H. Wells Auditorium. Merchandise will be sold from 6:30 p.m.

CTFAC Art Camp starts Monday

Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council is hosting an art camp from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through July 15, featuring instructors Stephanie Beach & Lauren Betancur. Learn elements of art design, work with different media. Create up to 12 unique take home art projects, plus sketches & practice papers.
