Erath groups work to help the hungry

With the arrival of Thanksgiving last week, many organizations and businesses donated money and food to make sure their neighbors in need wouldn’t go hungry for the holiday season. However, it’s a need that exists year round with Dublin’s poverty rate of 26.

Santa’s on his way

Santa Claus is coming to town as Dublin kicks off the Christmas season with the annual lighted parade at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9. As in years past, the festive parade will start gathering at the memorial stadium (at 5:15 p.m.

Donations sought for Shop with a Cop

Dublin PD and all of Erath’s law agencies are asking the community to help them bring Christmas to kids in need during the second annual Shop with a Cop program Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray reported that the program has increased the amount being spent on every child from $150 to $200.
