DISD OKs officers, contracts

Dublin ISD School Board members elected officers and approved contracts during their regular meeting Monday night. All board members were present with Bob Cervetto taking the unexpired term left by Jeff Weaver after Weaver recently resigned when his wife, Lisa, was hired as a teacher.

Dublin had a dry 2021 with rain lower than average for the city but a look back at totals for the decade show a series of massive ups and downs that were significantly lower than last year. Rainfall for Dublin, as collected and reported by the Dublin Citizen every week on page A4, was at 34.

The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will be displaying ‘Watercolors of the World,’ an exhibit of the artwork of Chuck Markham from Jan. 15 - Jan. 30 in the River North Gallery (204 River North Blvd.) in Stephenville. An opening reception will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith reported 397 new cases and 105 active cases of COVID-19 in Erath County in the most recent report Monday. “Our numbers continue to increase at an extremely high rate,” wrote Smith in the weekly report.
