Rotary serves burgers as thanks

Celebrating the excellent schools we have here, Dubin Rotary Club cooked a hamburger lunch for all the teachers, administrators, custodians and maintenance personnel. While unloading the food we heard the excitement from everyone about this special gift from the community.

Nature walk Saturday

A guided nature walk along the Bosque River Trail in Stephenville is being held on Saturday , May 14. The program also includes learning the basics of iNaturalist, an app that uses photos to identify native species. It searches a database to offer suggestions of species from your area.

Adams fills surgery needs in area

Ryan Adams, MD didn’t take a direct path to his current career as a general Surgeon serving Erath, Hamilton and Mills County, but he feels it’s where his life was leading him all along. Dr. Adams has always been partial to smaller communities.

The Dublin Economic Development Corporation is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director after Brad Stanford submitted his resignation during the April EDC meeting.

UDC hosts living history walk

The Daughters of the Confederacy, Major George B. Erath Chapter Celebrated Confederate History Month with a living history walk in the Old Dublin Memorial Park. The cemetery has over 70 Confederate Soldiers buried there. Confederate Flags are placed at each grave every April.

Travis Barnes recently received the Crystal Apple award from Tarleton State University. This award recognizes outstanding educators in the area. Barnes served 21 years on the Dublin ISD school board and taught 14 years at the high school. | submitted photo

April 26 Dublin PD was contacted by a reporting person who said they were being harassed through messenger after meeting a male subject online. A caller reported a skinny dog that had been wandering around the 600 block of Ireland for a couple of weeks and seemed to have puppies in the area.

Young grads garbed in gowns

Dublin Elementary kindergarten students donned caps and gowns Monday for a standing-room only graduation ceremony. After walking across the ‘stage,’ graduates and family went outside for a reception and photo ops. Paul Gaudette | Citizen staff photos
