The Lingleville Cardinals are heading to the Regional Quarterfinals Saturday at 6:30 p.m. as they face Cherokee at Brownwood High School. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $6 for adults and $4 for students. The Cards claimed the Area Championship on Feb.

WAC, ASUN announce partnership

Officially titled the WAC-ASUN Challenge, the Western Athletic Conference and ASUN Conference have agreed on a football scheduling alliance that will allow for the seven institutions to be eligible for an automatic qualification into the 2021 NCAA FCS Playoffs.

The Dublin Lions threw bracelets to fans as they rounded the Corner Lot (above) on their way to an 85-82 victory against Holliday at Weatherford Friday night. The Lions advanced to the Area Playoffs on Wednesday night as they faced Wall at Howard Payne University. Results of that game will be available at dublincitizen.com and in next week’s edition. The Lingleville Lady Cardinals were heading into the Regional Quarterfinals Tuesday night as they prepared to face the Iredell Lady Dragons at Stephenville. The Lingleville girls claimed the Area title in a 42-39 victory over the Priddy Pirates Friday night at Dublin.
