Body

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 2.25 feet below pool. Black bass are slow with catches up to 5.40 pounds on Hag’s tungsten tsunami jigs, shaky heads in 6-20 feet of water, and topwaters in 2-8 feet of water. Crappie are slow around docks on minnows in 14 feet of water. White bass are slow with catches up to 10 inches on crankbaits and crappie jigs under the lights at night. Catfish are slow with catches up to 5 pounds on prepared bait on the main lake.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 88 degrees; 0.21 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures remain in the upper 80s. Water levels are near normal. Thermocline is present around the 20 foot level. Best fishing for most species is early and late. Striped bass are good with catches up to 12 pounds from Decordova to the dam near channel edges in 10-20 feet of water. Best bait for striped bass is live shad and trolled Alabama rigs. White bass are good trolling spinners and pet spoons and are good near Indian Harbor, Striper Alley and near the Shores. Channel catfish are good on cut bait and hot dogs midlake near shallow flats and humps around 15 feet down. Crappies are suspended on underwater timber and bridge pilings from Sandy point to Indian Harbor to Waters Edge. Largemouth bass are active early near main lake points. Topwater action early is good with fish holding to shaded areas such as docks near the heat of the day. Largemouth are good on crank baits and soft plastics.

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 86 degrees; full pool. Fishing patterns are holding steady. Striper are fair to good in 30-70 feet of water. Live bait is still the most consistent way to put fish in the boat, but some can be caught using white, silver or chartreuse spoons. Sand bass are slow in 20-30 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs in white, or silver. Catfish are fair on cut shad in 5-20 feet of water. Water clarity is 4-12 feet of visibility

PROCTOR

GOOD. Water stained; 85 degrees; 2.18 feet below pool. Low flow gates are open so there is a current flowing through the gate. Lots of newly submerged vegetation for fish to be scattered in. Hybrid striped bass were restocked. Hybrids can be caught along promontory point trolling.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water heavily stained; 85 degrees; 1.39 feet below pool. Catfish are slow. Crappie are slow on brush piles with jigs and minnows. Bass are slow on deeper water ledges with crankbaits and soft plastics.

WHITNEY

FAIR. Water stained; 85 degrees; 0.11 feet below pool. Catfish are slow using cut shad in 28-30 feet of water. Striped bass bite is slow on live bait in 30 feet of water.
