Boys stack wins as summer league begins

Dublin varsity hoopsters conquered Comanche and Early June 3 as summer basketball league play began at Dublin Secondary School.

Dublin claimed the win over Comanche 60-47 and went 45-39 over Early.

“Our guys really showed up to play and competed,” said DHS head basketball coach Wes Grisham. “I’m really looking forward to watching these guys play this summer. It’s going to be fun!”

Dublin’s JV green team also went 2-0, besting Brownwood 59-56 and Hamilton 50-26.

The JV black team split wins as they got the W against Huckabay 32-24 and lost to Goldthwaite 42-26.

Dublin’s summer league will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday in June at Dublin Secondary and admission is free to the public.

On June 10, Dublin Varsity will play Goldthwaite at 4:50 p.m. and Comanche at 7:20 p.m. in the Neff gym. JV green will play Stephenville at 4:50 p.m. and Comanche at 8:10 p.m. in Gym 3. JV black will play Early at 4 p.m. in Gym 2 and Goldthwaite at 7:20 p.m. in Gym 3.
