SIKES

Jimmy Loyd Sikes passed away on Tuesday, Aug 3, 2021, at home surrounded by his family in Georgetown, Texas. Jimmy was born in Brownwood, TX on March 12, 1951.

He was a 1969 graduate of Dublin High School. On April 15, 1983, Jimmy married the love of his life, Helen Daniel Sikes. Jimmy worked in the electrical business in some fashion for many years all over Texas.

He and Helen owned and operated Sikes Movieland in Dublin for over a decade. He retired from the City of Georgetown in March 2019 where he was employed as the Electric Engineering Manager.

After retirement, Jimmy and Helen spent their time traveling all over the United States.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents, E.L. “Jim” and Earlene Sikes of Dublin, Texas. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Helen of Georgetown, Texas; his son, Brian Sikes and daughter in law Michelle of Midlothian, Texas; his son, Matthew Sikes and daughter in law Crystal of Georgetown, Texas; his three grandsons, Jacob, Joshua and Caden; his sister, Deanna Johnson of Dublin, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy chose not to have a funeral and the family will have a celebration of life at some point in the future.
