Vicente Garza Jr.
Vicente “Red” Garza, Jr., 61, a lifelong resident of De Leon, passed from this life August 26, 2026, in Dublin. He was born June 9, 1965, in Hondo, Texas, to Bisente Garza and Emma Guana Garza. Red married his loving wife, Rosario Villarreal, September 3, 1982.
Red worked in agriculture all his life. He enjoyed many hobbies including listening to music, barbecuing, and spending time with his large family and many friends. His family was his greatest joy in life, and his grandchildren brought him immense happiness. Red was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Red is survived by his wife, Rosario; sons, Vicente Chritopher Garza and Rene Garza and wife, Candy; daughters, Tracy Gonzales and husband, Kris, Lacey Garza, Geneva De Leon and husband, Ivan; brothers, Gerald Garza and wife, Laura; sisters, Dominga Barron and husband, Mariano, Rosemay Garza, Nancy Davis, Pauline Villarreal and husband, Gerardo, and Gracie Hancock and husband, James, and Daisy Young and husband, Corey; grandchildren, Hailey Gonzales, Marcus Gonzales, Trinidad Garza and wife, Stephanie, Brandy Garza, Briyin Garza, Ezekiel Leal, Kymara Garza, Nyaomi Garza, Nathan Garza, Aiden Bushman and wife, Kaylee, Karysn Rodriquez, Jayton Bushman, Ulyanna De Leon, Avian De Leon and Sebastian De Leon; great-grandchildren, Benicio Garza and Layla Garza; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Trinidad Garza; grandchildren, Andrew Garza and Ivan De Leon, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home. Interment will follow in De Leon Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.nowlinandersfh.com.
