Marcelle Gregory, 88, of Stephenville, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

Graveside services for Marcelle will the at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Lower Green’s Creek Cemetery, with Weldon Branham officiating. Visitation with the Gregory family will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Marcelle was born on February 6, 1935, in Carlton, Texas, to the late Morgan Johnson and Della Ellen Fulbright Barnett. She married Walton Dee (Buck) Gregory on May 24, 1952, in Dublin. Buckprecededher in death on December 18, 2003. Marcelle was a devoted Christian woman who loved her Lord with all her heart. Her main goal was to share the love of Christ with all those she came in contact with. Her wish is for everyone to know the love of Jesus Christ, and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. Marcelle was very active in her church, Harvey Baptist Church. She was a very caring and kind person. She deeply loved her family and friends. She loved to be with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

For many years Marcelle worked as a bank teller, and after retirement worked at the Ben Franklin Store. For a period of five years, she and Buck lived in Meridian, but she spent most of her life in Stephenville and Dublin.

Marcelle is survived by her children, David and wife Brenda Gregory of Dublin, James and wife Judy Gregory of Meridian, and Dee Ann and husband John Fritts of Stephenville; grandchildren, Daniel and wife Holly Gregory, Chad wife Amanda Gregory, Tiffany Gregory, Haylee and husband Levi Dowell, and Luke and wife MacKayla Fritts; great grandchildren, Jordan, Benjamin, Caleb, Payton, Billy, Colt, Aubree, Kolt, and Kelcee; sister, Patricia Ann Strube of Comanche; and sister-in-law, Clara Barnett of Flower Mound.

Besides her parents, and husband, Buck; Marcelle was also preceded in death by a brother, Morgan Cleo Barnett.

The Gregory family wish expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Harvey Baptist Church, Gideons, or the Alzheimer’s Assn.

The Gregory family wishes to sincerely thank all the staff at Laurel Glen Assisted and Memory Care, and Solaris Hospice.
