On Monday, August 16, 2021, a young family of three left this life together and met Jesus face to face. Eduardo Hernandez (age 25), Diana Landa Hernandez (age 23), and their son, Azriel Kaiden Hernandez (age 4), were victims of an auto accident on Hwy 6 just west of Dublin.

Eduardo was born May 30, 1996, in Comanche to Juan Hernandez and Lisa Ybarra Hernandez. He graduated from De Leon High School Class of 2015. Eduardo was most recently employed with Aaron’s as a sales associate. He loved all sports but especially football. He enjoyed listening to a variety of music and spending time with his family and many friends.

Diana was born to Jose Juarez and Mary Reyna Juarez in Rockford, Illinois on September 6, 1997. She graduated from Comanche High School Class of 2016. Diana was currently furthering her education and worked as a private caregiver. She enjoyed many hobbies including listening to music, swimming, watching baseball and softball, and spending time with her many friends and large family.

Eduardo and Diana were married December 17, 2016, at Par Country Club, Comanche. They were blessed with the birth of their son, Azriel, on June 17, 2017. Azriel brought these young parents so much joy in life. Eduardo and Diana were attentive to Azriel, always making sure their son felt loved and cared for. Azriel was an energetic and loving four-year-old who looked forward to starting prekindergarten at De Leon Elementary this year. He too loved all sports and enjoyed playing with his cousins and many friends. Azriel was very smart and knew the names of many types of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were his absolute favorite. His favorite color was green, and he dearly loved his pet dogs, fish, and parakeet birds.

The Hernandez family attended Praise and Worship Center in Comanche. It was important to Eduardo and Diana to raise Azriel knowing the Lord. While this sad and tragic accident leaves their families broken hearted, they take comfort knowing the three of them are together and in the presence of the Lord.

They leave behind a large loving family. Eduardo is survived by his father, Juan Hernandez; sister, Sylvia Hernandez; brothers, Jorge Hernandez and wife, Maddy, Juan Hernandez Jr., and Raul Hernandez; grandmother, Josephine Ybarra; and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Hernandez; grandfather, Juan Ybarra; grandparents, Salvador and Antonia Hernandez; and uncle, Victor Ybarra.

Diana is survived by her parents, Jose and Mary Juarez; brothers, Antemio Landa Jr. and his wife, Priscilla, Mark Anthony Landa and wife, Jasmine, Oscar Lee Juarez and wife, Melissa, and Mark Perez; sisters, Mary Angela Landa Leal and husband, Kastino, Hope Marie Landa Alvarez and husband, Ramon; Linda (Bubba) Landa, Lori Sierra and husband, Bobby Perales, Mindi McKee and husband, Colton; and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guadalupe B. Reyna and Amelia Montez Reyna, and Balbina G. Juarez.

Graveside services celebrating the lives of Eduardo, Diana, and Azriel will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in De Leon Cemetery with Pastor Elias Maldonado and Pastor Jose Luis Barrera officiating. A benefit fund for the Hernandez family has been established (account representative Mary Juarez) at First National Bank - De Leon, Dublin and Gustine.
