The Lingleville Cardinals ended their 5-5 season Friday at Gorman when they fell 83-35 to the Panthers.

“I’m very proud of our boys for adjusting to a new way of playing football,” said Lingleville head football coach Trent Taylor. “We played as hard as we could these past few weeks even without a playoff spot.”

“Hopefully we can keep building on the foundation that was set in place this year and make playoffs next season,” Taylor continued. “Congratulations to Gordon and Gorman for advancing to the playoffs. Those are two good teams and two great coaching staffs” Senior Izzy Juarez contributed two touchdowns and one interception and rushed for 174 yards. He also had six tackles.

Touchdowns were also brought in by Leon Cruz, Rocky Rangel and Bryson Vann.

Jose Dominguez went 2 for 2 in Point After Touchdown kicks while Cruz completed a conversion.

Wyatt Ray led in defense with eight tackles while Jaxson Bays had five.
