Cards end season as Quarterfinal Champs, earn district honors

The Lingleville Cardinals ended their season as Regional Quarterfinal champions after defeating Morgan 72-53 and falling to Dodd City 47-31 in the Semifinals. Following the end of the season, several Cards made All-District selections including: Cade Lingle (District MVP), Kyler Philips (Defensive MVP), Alex Carrizales and Caden Howard (1st Team All-District), Joseph Briseno and Paolo Ciambellotti (2nd Team All-District) and Rogelio Rangel and Xavier Figueroa (Honorable Mention All-District). Coach Steven Bailey expressed pride in his team, noting this was the second year in a row they were undefeated in district play. | submitted photo
