The Dublin Lions were named Bi-District Champions after a fiercely fought 38-33 victory over the Callisburg Wildcats at Boyd Friday night. Dublin Lions Coach Greg Hardcastle called the Lions’ playing efficient with Dublin scoring 7 times in their eight possessions. The Lions head to Joshua Friday where they will play Palmer at 7:30 p.m. Hardcastle calls Palmer a pretty even team with a 60/40 split on running and passing, but he feels the Lions have a good shot at the Area title if they continue to play as they have in recent weeks. The coach thanked the energetic fans who packed the stands at Boyd and hopes they’ll return for the shorter drive to Joshua. Ticket sales are being done online this week although QR codes will be on-site so people can pay Friday night. Parking will cost $5 per vehicle.
