The Lingleville Cardinals and Lady Cards are looking for a win when they return to the court after losses last week.
The Lady Cardinals went 15 against Huckabay’s 75 Tuesday, Dec. 16 and 15 against Perrin-Whitt’s 50.
Head girls basketball coach Brandon Haught said the team is currently dealing with injuries but still fighting hard. On the Perrin-Whitt game, Haught said, “ We came out strong in this game holding them scoreless for the first 5 minutes. We went into halftime down 9, but in the 3rd quarter we allowed way too many fast breaks.” Haught said they will keep working on solidifying their gaime in the Kiwanis Classic in Corsicana next week.
The Cardinals will be sharpening skills in the Brownwood Holiday Classic tournament after falling 67-26 to Zephyr Dec. 16 and 69-24 to Perrin-Whitt Dec. 19.
