Humane Society to get new home

Excitement is in the air as the Erath County Humane Society begins to move towards a new, much needed animal shelter.The move towards the new shelter began with the help of a $200,000 grant from Cross Works Foundation, which was used to buy the 17 acres off CR 454 in 2022.

District approves lower tax rate, deficit budget

Dublin ISD School Board set its tax rate and approved the budget at the Monday, Aug. 26 school board meeting.The adopted tax rate was lower than last year with $.8551 per $100 valuation, with $.7552 for the purpose of maintenance and operations and $.

Road use agreement approved for battery storage

Commissioners Court approved a road use agreement between the county and Lucky Bluff Bess, LLC. for use of County Road 300 and CR 299 to put in a battery storage facility.
