Joint investigation leads to Comanche County arrests

In a coordinated effort between the Comanche County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Criminal Investigations Division (CID), a multi-month investigation culminated in executing a search and arrest warrant on December 20, 2024.

The Woman’s Thursday Club gathered Thursday, Dec.12, at the First Methodist Church for our second study session hosted by Wyndi Veigel-Gaudette, who introduced us to the Piney Woods Ecoregion in East Texas.

Mary and Eddie Howard are celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary this month. They were married in Stephenville, Dec. 20, 1963 in the Oak Dale Methodist Church. Mary told the newspaper it had snowed most of the day and was a beautiful white night with a full moon.

Hello Toni:In the new Medicare & You Handbook that I received about a month ago, I cannot find what the 2025 Medicare costs and premiums will be. I would like to know this information because I have been diagnosed with a heart condition and will need to undergo heart surgeries next year.
