Dublin Elementary, Intermediate PTO to host Fall Festival Oct. 3

Dublin Elementary School will be hosting its annual Fall Festival from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at Dublin Memorial Stadium across from the elementary school.There will be more than 30 games and activities, jump houses and a mechanical bull, food trucks and vendors and photo opportunities.

RD project this weekend

Revitalize Dublin is inviting community members to join us for a special service project at 421 South Norton St., Dublin, to support a recent widow in our community.Together, we’ll be replacing her privacy fence to help restore both security and peace of mind at her home.

When Eric Caldera was young, he was fascinated by classic and custom cars. “Every time I would go to Walmart, I’d always go to the magazine section, pick up the low rider magazines and hot rod magazines, and just look,” he said.

Grand Jury hands down felony indictments

The Erath County Grand Jury indicted the following individuals on felony charges Sept. 28. They are: Shawn Ross Black, 37, driving while intoxicated third or more (Third Degree felony); Geoffrey Calvin Earl, 52, driving while intoxicated third or more (Third Degree felony); Antonio Espinoza Jr.

Dublin Garden Club

The Dublin Garden Club held our first fall meeting Sept. 10th, in the home of DJ Klutts. Mary Howard and Edilsia Jimenez were co-hostesses.Our guest speaker was Texas Master Naturalist, Peggy Tolboom. Peggy’s presentation was on our local bluebirds, which are the Eastern bluebird.

When Is Anger Right?

“It’s okay to get mad when someone is not following God’s rules,” says Talon, 6. “Like if someone steals a toy from another person, it’s okay to get mad. The angry feeling can help you do something to make things better.”At six years old, Talon has given us a nugget.
