Delmar Spoonts and his family moved to Dublin when he was a junior in high school, and Spoonts took a part-time job at the sewing factory to help out his family. He would work on the cutting line, cutting material for dress pants, or do odd jobs around the factory.

Eggs sought for Easter event

Dublin Dairy Queen, Chamber of Commerce Calvary Fellowship and several other community businesses, organizations and volunteers have joined together to organize an Easter Egg Hunt on April 15 at the Dublin City Park from 10 a.m. to noon.

Harbin VFD to hold fish fry Saturday Harbin Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a fish fry fundraiser on Saturday, March 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Harbin VFD Fire Hall. Plates will include fish, fries, hush puppies and all the fixings and are available by donation.

Knights fish fry continues

The Stephenville Knights of Columbus continue their annual Lenten Fish Fry this Friday at Newman Hall. The weekly event will run from 5:00-7-00 p.m. Fridays thru April 8. The meal will consist of fish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, french fries, tea, and dessert. Prices this year are $15 on all orders.
