Market Day this Saturday Saturday will be a great day to be out. Come shop at the Dublin Market, Wright Park, 9 a.m. - 1 p. m. We’ll have around 20 vendors of all sorts of unique items, including your favorite baked goods. There will be fun things to eat and drink and fun for kids as well.

Restoration Advocates to host family-friendly fundraiser

Restoration Advocates will be hosting a family event, Voices of Change in Stephenville Oct. 14. This special gathering aims to shed light on the critical issue of domestic violence while honoring the women who have overcome adversity with the support of this organization.

Fabric classes on tap this month

Austin Street Fabrics is hosting a slew of classes and fun sewing opportunities in September. On Thursday, Sept. 14 there will be a Hocus Pocus Quilt class from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Fee $25). Friday, Sept. 15 will be Junk Journal Club from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept.

Team C2 hosting fundraiser for DFTS

Local Dancing For The Stars duo Team C2 Darrell Curry and Kayla Conner are raising money for their team with a plated lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20. Plates are $20 each (cash or checks only) and contain brisket/sausage, potato salad, onions/pickles and dessert.

Police Log

Power lines down in the roadway in the 400 block of Grand. Oncor was contacted and the roadway was shut down until the lines are repaired. A reporting person advised three teenage boys came to his house in the 300 block of North Camden and tried to steal a bike.

The Ville towing owner arrested

The Stephenville Police Department was made aware of alleged issues regarding the business practices of The Ville towing. Over the course of the last few months, the Department has conducted an investigation into The Ville and the state regulations regarding their towing business.

Judy Cathey Trevino

From living at Possum Kingdom Lake to traveling through her job at Southwest Airlines, Judy Cathey Trevino’s life has been full of interesting experiences. A recent retiree, Trevino is now looking forward to traveling the country and spending time with her family.

Ag success

student Peyton Vandenberge was presented a certificate of appreciation by County Commissioner Joe Brown for being the fourth in the nation for ag mechanic. “I really liked your trailer last year,” County Judge Brandon Huckabee commented.  

Happy 80th birthday!

Mac McKinnon, former publisher of the Dublin Citizen, recently celebrated his birthday with a party organized by his family and friends Saturday, Sept. 9.
