City Pool to open May 25

The Dublin City Pool will officially open Saturday, May 25.Pool hours are Tuesday noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday noon to 5 p.m. and the pool is closed on Monday.Cash only entrance fees are $3 for swimmers 3 and over and free for nonswimmers and 2 and under kids.

Free job search workshop May 14

There will be a free job search workshop sponsored by Christian Women’s Job Corp from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 14 at CWJC in Dublin.Speakers will include the Texas Workforce Commission and participants will learn tools for finding a job. The workshop will be interactive and informative.

Neighbors called to Coach Clark cause

The Dublin community has a chance to rally around a neighbor who has taught so many as retired coach PattieLu Clark is fighting breast cancer, presenting the family with unexpected expenses.

DHS grad guides team to raise the bar

2012 Dublin High School graduate Levi Bamber is used to breaking records in the weight room but it felt different as a coach to see his student lifters setting amateur records themselves at the IPA Tiny Meeker Classic in Houston at the end of April.“It was kind of emotional,” Bamber admitted.

Basketball camp May 28-30

The Flyin’ Lion Basketball camp will be held May 28-30 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each afternoon. The camp is open to boy and girls that have completed kindergarten through 8th grade.Camp will focus on dribbling, shooting, passing, sportsmanship and hustle.
