Thursday Club begins new series on U.S. Constitution signers

The Woman’s Thursday Club of Dublin kicked off our next two year study with a President’s Luncheon honoring our new President, Denise Weems. We will study the signers of the U.S. Constitution. These were brave men who knew if caught by the British they would be punished as traitors.

Wrecks, fires plague area

First responders in the Dublin area had a busy weekend with both wrecks and fires taking place.On Sunday, Sept 20, at around noon, a major accident occurred on Hwy. 377 at the Loop when a tire blew on one truck and went through the windshield of another semi-truck.

There will be a free Halloween Costume Closet for kids from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 in Stephenville at the United Cooperative Room.“Every kid deserves a chance to be anything,” organizers said. Those involved have been collecting, planning and organizing for more than a year.
