The Dublin Public Library will be getting a technology facelift and be closed for a couple of weeks in October to allow the renovations to take place.
The library will be closed to the public from Friday, Oct. 9, through Tuesday, Oct. 27, to allow for interior renovations funded through the Library Infrastructure and Facilities Improvement (LIFI) Grant.
This temporary closure will allow the necessary renovation work to be completed while minimizing disruptions to patrons and library operations. During this period staff will continue professional development and continuing education to support ongoing library services and maintain compliance with training requirements.
Most library programs will take a scheduled break during the closure and will resume following reopening, with any necessary adjustments communicated to participants.
Library materials will continue to be accessible through extended checkout periods. Due dates will be extended as needed, and no fines will accrue during the closure period.
Additional reopening information and any updates regarding the renovation timeline will be communicated as they become available.
“We appreciate your support and understanding as we make these improvements to the library technology infrastructure. These renovations will help us maintain a welcoming, functional, and accessible space for our community,” Library Director Adina Dunn said.
