100+ sign to Stampede

The 23rd annual Dublin Irish Stampede drew a reported 114 sign up for the race.Proceeds from these registrations will benefit Lions Club in the local philanthropic work it does including free eye exams for children and scholarship funds. The event is held in honor of June being National Dairy Month.

The June 8 Irish Stampede marked the 5th 5K that Dr. Haley Banks competed in the past year. Running is normal to the family practice doctor, but she’s making adjustments to her routine since she is six months pregnant.“I’ve adjusted how I approach running,” she said.

Dublin varsity hoopsters conquered Comanche and Early June 3 as summer basketball league play began at Dublin Secondary School.Dublin claimed the win over Comanche 60-47 and went 45-39 over Early.“Our guys really showed up to play and competed,” said DHS head basketball coach Wes Grisham.
