Several Veterans Day activities are on tap for Monday and this weekend.

In Dublin, students, staff, and administration would like to cordially invite and honor United States Veterans at the Secondary campus with a breakfast at 8 a.m. Nov. 11.

The breakfast will be followed by our Veterans Day program starting at 8:50 am. If you are a veteran and would like to be involved in the Veterans Day Program, call Mrs. Teten at the high school (254-445-0362) by Wednesday, Nov. 6.

‘We look forward to sharing our gratitude and appreciation for your service,’ organizers said.

There will be a county-wide Veterans Day service organized by American Legion Turnbow-Higgs, Post 240 at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at the Erath County Courthouse.

Speaker will be U.S. Navy Veteran Brenda Guise. A free lunch will be provided by White House Christian Academy for veterans and first responders at the FBC new fellowship hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Comanche County Museum is excited to invite the community to a Veterans Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10. This heartfelt event honors local veterans and their families with a meal and a celebration of their service.

Indulge in a menu featuring classic beef pot roast, generously supplied by Artesian Ranch, LLC, complemented by potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, and bacon-infused green beans. There will also be hot dogs for the kids, along with a variety of fresh salads, drinks, and homemade desserts. This luncheon is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, family, and fellow community members.

“We invite everyone to come and celebrate our veterans,” said Bobby Lane, President of the Comanche County Historical Museum. “This luncheon is not just about the food; it’s about recognizing the sacrifices made by those who have served our country.”

This event operates on a donation-only basis, and any contributions are deeply appreciated to support future programs and initiatives at the museum.
