EDC evaluating applications

The Dublin EDC is in the process of establishing an application and guidelines for those who may want to be board members.Board member Jeff Weaver recently resigned from the board leaving a vacancy. The board accepted his resignation at the Tuesday, July 22 meeting.

Local kids were shrunk into a world of adventure and Biblical education as Greens Creek Baptist Church hosted a Vacation Bible School magnifying the little things in the world to signify the wonders created by God and the care He has for all things big and small.

Honoring fine fellows

The highest honor which can be bestowed by a Rotary club was presented to two Dublin men this week.Lee Leatherwood and Ben Pate were named Paul Harris Fellows, receiving lapel pins and certificates from incoming Dublin Rotary Club president Karen Wright.

Cowboy life on display in Dublin

History was made and revered at the annual National Day of the Cowboy celebration Saturday, July 26 in Dublin.Organizer Rick Taylor said overall the day was great and he hopes to grow the event when it returns the fourth Saturday in July next year.

CTFAC hosts 'Under the July Sky' Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council is currently hosting a new gallery exhibit 'Under the July Sky' by artist Jo Ann Schulze.The exhibit will be open through July 31.The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shenanigans answers pub prayers

Dublin’s original Irish Pub, Shenanigans is now under construction and owners Mark and Mindy Gardner and Carmen and Karl Andersen are excited about what the future may hold.The pub will be located at 112 S. Grafton Street next to The Majestic, an upcoming old Hollywoodstyle event center.
