Greens Creek Hosting VBS Greens Creek Baptist Church is hosting Spark Studios, a Vacation Bible School where imagination is ignited and creativity is awakened. The VBS will be held each day this week through Friday, July 29 from 8:45 a.m. to noon.

Back to school fair Saturday

All kinds of back-to-school fun will be on tap Saturday, July 30 as the Dublin Public Library, along with many community partners, celebrates students returning to school. The fair will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library.

Cookoff, car show in park Saturday

Dublin’s City Park will also be a hoppin’ place on Saturday, July 30 with a car show and barbecue cook off sponsored by the Stephenville Elks Lodge. The second annual Drug Awareness Program Car Show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park with awards from 3:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

De Leon Free Press De Leon’s city council recently discussed rebuilding the bathrooms at DeLeon’s City Park. Toney Prather was present from DeLeon’s Type-B Economic Development Corporation, and reported that the EDC would take charge of the rebuild, including providing funding.

July 11 An officer checked on a stranded motorist in the 700 block of North Camden that ran out of gas. They were able to get the truck out of the roadway and to a gas pump. A person reported items stolen out of her truck in the 200 block of Blackjack.
