American Legion Post 240 and Auxiliary Unit 240 hosted a special service honoring the 80th anniversary of the sacrifice of the ‘Four Chaplains.’ On Feb. 3, 1943, the SS Dorchester was hit by a torpedo from a German submarine while traveling to southern Greenland.

The board of directors of nonprofit Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC) has announced that Helen C. Ong, MD, an experienced and longtime pediatrician is joining the CCMC health system and moving her practice this spring from Stephenville to Comanche. Dr. Ong will start in May.

Dublin grinded to a literal halt last week as a winter storm pummeled Erath County and surrounding area. On Sunday, Jan. 29, a winter storm rolled into the area, and as weather forecasters had warned, the temperatures dropped, affording winter precipitation the perfect opportunity to stick.
