Annual pageant signups now underway

Signups for the annual Dublin Chamber of Commerce Ambassador pageant is now underway and this year the pageant is full of changes geared to make the experience even better for the young ladies participating.Little Miss Dublin will be held at 7 p.m.

Filings continue for council, school board

Filings for local elections for school board and city council are continuing and applications are slowly being filed.Incumbent City Councilmember Place 3 Darren Turley has filed to retain his seat and Bolek ‘Bo’ Kabala has filed for Place 1 city council. Place 1 is currently held by Barrett Joiner.

Sales tax down for November

Dublin sales tax collections were down 4.74% in November, compared to November 2023, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of November, Dublin received $51,327, compared to $53,885.38 in November 2023.

POLICE LOG

A reporting person requested to speak with someone in regards to harassment.There was a report of a truck and dump trailer on North Patrick losing debris headed towards Allsup’s possibly going to the dump. An officer in the area did not locate debris, it was already picked up.
