Mac & Cheese cookoff set Saturday
Cheesy goodness will abound at Lucky Vines on Saturday as they partner with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Erath County for its 2nd Annual Mac & Cheese Cookoff.

The event kicks off at 3 p.m. and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Vendors are $50 each.

Tickets to the event include servings of delicious Mac & Cheese and attendees are able to vote for their favorite entry for People's Choice award and a judges award will also be selected.

The 2nd year event is sponsored by Lucky Vines, Hot Werks and Schriber.

Stephenville hosts myriad events for Cinco De Mayo
Those bustling about Saturday, May 3 may want to stop in Stephenville for several events taking place in downtown. 
Coffee and Cars will kick off things on Saturday morning from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Stroll through the Farmers & Artisan Market and shop for local goods, handmade items, fresh produce and more from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cincoville will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a morning and afternoon full of music, vendors, fun and festive vibes! 
Stephenville Merchants will be offering Tour De Salsa and Stickers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Comanche County Museum to host Mother's Day lunch
The Comanche County Museum is inviting you and your family to celebrate Mother’s Day with a lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11.
The museum is located at 402 Moorman Rd.
Flowers donated by Comanche Florist will be decorating the museum.
Indulge in a variety of dishes, featuring: glazed ham from Pederson Farms, Polynesian meatballs with Pederson Farms sausage and Artesian Ranch ground beef, macaroni and cheese, classic peas and carrots medley, three bean salad, broccoli salad, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onion salad, fresh fruit medley, a variety of delicious desserts, hot dogs for kids and beverages.
This special event is by donation only, with all contributions supporting the preservation of Comanche County’s rich history. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Kingdom Kids to host fundraiser Friday, May 2
Kingdom Kids Preschool will be hosting a silent auction and taco dinner Friday, May 2 at First Baptist Church. 
Taco dinner is presale only for $12/plate. Call Kat at 254-445-0330 for tickets! Childcare is available.
To-Go plates begin at 5:30 p.m., silent auction will be from 5:45 -6:45 p.m. and the taco dinner will be from 6-7 p.m.

City of Dublin/Erath County Tire Disposal Saturday, May 3
All residents in Erath are invited to dispose of old tires from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3 at Dublin City Works.
Cars and pickup tires will be disposed of, no businesses are permitted and you must show proof of residency in Erath County. The event will be until the trailer is full. Public works is located at 602 North Norton in Dublin.

Erath County Humane Society to host 5K/Fun Run Saturday, May 3
The second annual Cinco De Mayo 5k and Fun Run has been set Saturday, May 3 for the Bosque River Trail benefiting the Erath County Humane Society.
The event will start at 9 a.m. at the trailhead at Timber Ridge Church (510 E. Lingleville) with humans disembarking on the 5K.
The mile fun run will be at 10 a.m. with humans and leashed dogs welcome. (Walk a shelter dog or bring you own!)
The cost is $25 for participants with walk-ups are welcome. Medals will be provided to all finishers in the 5k. Costumes are encouraged and a dog costume contest will be held. There will also be door prizes and giveaways as well as vendor market.
