It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the Rockin C Bar G Ranch announces the passing of Big Red, a horse that many may remember offering rides at the 2024 National Day of the Cowboy event in Dublin.
Wrangler Timothy Holden reported Red was foaled in 1998 and was a Tennessee Walker by breeding and a gentle soul by nature.
Red liked mowing the yard (grazing), playing in the water hose, and giving kids horseback rides. Holden said the last interest was a passion he came to late in life as he had never been around kids until this year.
Will Rogers said, “The best thing for the inside of a person is the outside of a horse.”
He is survived by his owner Christina, his Wranglers Timothy Holden and Jaxon Collins, and a corral full of kids.
“Every one of us will miss him,” said Holden. “We will see you down the trail.”
“I was blessed to be around some of the greatest horses there ever were,” he continued. “They would be proud to share a pasture with Red. God Bless Horses.”
