The Dublin City Council was advised that filing will open soon in three City elections to be held in the May 7 General Election ballot.
Up for election are the position of Mayor held by David Leatherwood, City Council Place 2 held by Lynn Tidwell and City Council Place 4 held by Eric Bullard.
Applications for filing can be picked up at City Hall on Jan. 14 and filing will be held from Jan. 19 to Feb. 18.
The council also approved two recommendations from the planning and zoning board:
■ the replat 0f 508 E. Live Oak into four lots for the construction of residences by Mack Stewart. (The approval included a variance of two properties that were five feet short on one side, but the properties all meet the square foot requirements and will not present problems with neighboring properties.)
■ the replat of 616 N. Park Street into four lots for the construction of residences by Mark Ellis.
