KASPEREdna Irena Barsch Kasper, 97, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025 in Abilene, Texas. At the time of Rubin’s passing on the 11th of last month, they had been married for 74 years. She and Rubin moved to Dublin from Mason, Texas in 1971. In 2022, they moved to assisted living in Abilene.

SHIELDSHobby Leon Shields was born to Lula Bell Patrick and Giles Leon Shields in Meridian, Texas on Sept. 21, 1950. He went to his heavenly home on May 6, 2025 while at Medical City Hospital, Ft. Worth.He worked for the road maintenance department in Cleburne for several years.

HODGESA longtime resident of Dublin, John Delano Hodges died May 10, 2025. He was born Dec. 10, 1933, to Clyde and Selma Hodges in DeLeon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra in 2013 after 63 years of marriage.

Nina Rae Schrader was born on May 1, 1931, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Jesse H. Powell and Mary Herrin Powell. She was united in marriage to Cecil Schrader on May 6, 1950. Together they had one daughter, Lois Jean Schrader Hicks.

Rubin A. J. Kasper, 101, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025 in Abilene, Texas.Rubin and Edna, his wife of 74 years, moved to Abilene from Dublin in 2022 to live in assisted living. He and Edna had lived in Dublin from 1971 until that time.

Janice Marlene McCorkle Lange, 73, of Dublin, Texas, passed away on Saturday April 19, 2025.She was bom Feb. 23, 1952 in Lamar, Colo. to Albert and Alma Lou McCorkle. She married Timothy Lange on Nov. 15, 1985. They lived in Dublin TX for 35 years.Janice was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
