Lady Lions enter 2nd round of District

The Dublin Lady Lions entered round two of district play last week following a home battle with Early Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Dublin XC tests mettle in ‘Ville Tournament

Dublin runners tested their mettle against larger schools in the Stephenville Thrill of the Hill cross country meet Wednesday, Oct. 1 in preparation of the district meet set for Oct. 8 in Dublin.

Lady Cards add W before district

The state-ranked Lingleville Lady Cardinals moved their record to 21-8 as they headed into district this week.This came after a 0-3 loss to Knox City September 30 and a 3-0 win over Ranger October 4 to end a three-game losing streak.

Fishing Report

BROWNWOODGOOD. Water stained; 79 degrees; 1.56 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.13 pounds are good in 3- 5 feet of water on topwater frogs in the shoreline grass with some fish on chatterbaits, crankbaits and jigs in the brush 5-12 feet of water.

Lions fight Homecoming heartbreaker

The Dublin Lions had a heartbreaker of a homecoming as they fell to Lindsay 70-7.In spite of the loss, several Lions showed that trademark fight with Cayson Loving leading the offense with 11 tackles and Julian Caldera amassing 71 yards in rushing and 32 yards in receiving.

Dublin hosting District XC meet

Dublin Secondary School will host the district cross country meet Wednesday, Oct. 8 with athletes vying to advance in long laps run around the campus.Varsity girls will kick off the event, starting at 9 a.m. o the front edge of the property near the cemetery.

Double N hosting rodeo Sunday

Double N Cowboy Church invites everyone to the 19th annual Buckles N’ Bibles Youth Rodeo on Sunday, Oct. 5.Those attending the fun family event will get to take in the rodeo fun in the arena and can also enjoy concessions and a cake walk.Sign-up will be at 12:30 p.m. with events starting at 2 p.m.
