The Dublin Lions were narrowly edged out by the San Saba Armadillos in an away game Monday, Nov. 20.

When the final buzzer called, the score stood at 50 for San Saba and 48 for Dublin.

“We lost a close one and should’ve taken care of business in the second quarter,” said head Lions basketball coach Wes Grisham. “We should play them again in the Brady tournament and will have a different outcome. Our guys will be ready.”

Grisham reported that a deciding factor in the win was San Saba completing a lot of free throws from foul calls.

Hunter Jones led scoring for Dublin with 10 followed by Kaden Gaitan with 9, Aidan Hernandez with 8 and Kyson Gilman with 7.

Alex Teten and Aiden Salyer each scored 5 and Dane Lewis had 4.
