GRANBURY
SLOW. Water slightly stained; 46-51 degrees; 8.18 feet below pool. Bass are excellent to 6.50 pounds in 6’-10 feet of water on square bills crankbaits and in 8-15 feet of water on jigs. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad drifting or jug lines.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 49 degrees; 2.04 feet below pool. Water temperatures are varying from the low to upper 40s with this recent warm spell. Striped bass are good to 10 pounds on the lower ends using soft plastics. Some good sand bass reports are coming in from the river near Tin Top. Largemouth bass are good near deeper docks and main lake points and in the river near Tin Top near those deeper holes. Big blue catfish are being taken in deep water on those colder days and in the shallows adjacent to deeper water on cut bait. Crappie angling continues to be good to excellent on small jigs worked near bridge pilings.
POSSUM KINGDOM
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 49 degrees; 5.85 feet below pool. Striper fishing is great with quality fish being caught. Live bait seems to outperform everything else, but deadsticking can produce some fish. Fish are scattered between 18-33 feet. Sand bass are good on small live bait and slabs. Some can be caught using small deadsticking baits between 16-25 feet. Catfish are fair using cut shad fished on bottom between 2-15 feet of water. Water clarity is 2 feet on the north end and 8 feet on the south end of the lake.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 52 degrees; 9.03 feet below pool. Target catfish in deeper water with cut baits. Fish are deep chasing the shad.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 50 degrees; 7.25 feet below pool. All species of fish are slow and scattered in the cold water. Crappie are slow on deeper main lake points and brush with live minnows. Catfish are slow off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are slow and chasing bait so cover lots of water with swimbaits, and crankbaits.
WHITNEY
GREAT. Water lightly stained; 52 degrees; 6.95 feet below pool. The recent cold snap grouped the fish up in great numbers, making some pretty amazing fishing days on the water. Target crappie in deep structure that the fish can hold tight to in 20-40 feet of water, or standing timber in 13-25 feet of water off the creek channel. Crappie will also be in the creeks on shallow brush and lay downs.
