Scott married the love of his life and soulmate Kathy Dianne (Ellis) on Sept. 20, 1980, at the First Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two wonderful children. From a very young age he was an extremely hard worker whether it was working on dairies or in his parent’s farm store as well as into his adulthood working cattle, building houses, repairing farm equipment or really anything on the farm. Scott was a man larger than life and never met a stranger as long as they were ready to listen to his stories. He wore many hats over the years suchasson, brother, husband, dad, boss, friend and he would say the greatest title was pawpaw. He adored his grandchildren with all of his heart and loved spending time with them. He was full of knowledge and could fix just about anything.

After retirement he really started to enjoy his woodworking and building things for the family or working on projects around the house. Most of the time you would find him in his shop creating and working on some sort of masterpiece. He was an extremely talented man with a wealth of knowledge and will be missed by so many.

He worked at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, Texas for 37 years starting out as a start-up electrician then an inhouse electrician followed by a Protection and Control technician then switch yard coordinator and many titles ultimately ending as Maintenance Supervisor. Over the years he was recognized and awarded for many contributions and accomplishments. His skills and expertise coupled with his refusal to accept anything less than perfection in his field is what lead him to a successful career. His dedication and devotion to his work left a huge impact and lasting impression on the plant and anyone who was fortunate to have worked with him.
