Buddy Jordan Buddy Jordan, 90, of De Leon, peacefully passed from this life January 4, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born April 29, 1934, in Amarillo, Texas to Jay Lee Jordan and Dora Pierce Jordan. Buddy married the love of his life, Faye McDonald, on June 6, 1954.
Buddy proudly served in the United States Army from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1952. After completing his service and marrying Faye, Buddy became self-employed in the construction field where he installed drywall. Later, he was employed as a dairyman, worked for Golden Peanut for twenty plus years, and eventually Central Texas Opportunities until his final retirement.
While Buddy enjoyed working, he loved his time spent with his horses. He loved to care for them, break them, and ride them. He enjoyed trail rides and the people he met along the way. He and Faye relocated to Dublin in 1980, making it their final home. Faye passed away in 1991 and shortly after her death Buddy relocated to De Leon. He was a member of De Leon First United Methodist Church, and he absolutely loved his church family. Buddy was always happy to volunteer his time however needed in the church and throughout the community. He was one to never meet a stranger, was a man of his word, and often known for honesty and integrity. He was a long time Mason (East Dallas Lodge) and enjoyed the Masonic brotherhood.
Buddy was very proud of his children and grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy in life. He was a reliable and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him.
Buddy is survived by his sons, Charles (Chuck) Buddy Jordan Jr. and wife, Peggy; Perry Jordan and wife, Lori; daughter, Sherri Faye Jordan Reed and husband, Stephen Reed; grandchildren, Samantha Cater, James Jordan, Trey Jordan, Scott Jordan, Lisa Reed, Jodi Sharp, Tanner Jordan and Trevor Jordan; sixteen greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Buddy has been reunited withhiswife,FayeMcDonald Jordan; son, Jerry Roland Jordan; siblings, Arthur Ross McCord, Jay Lee Jordan, Jr., Robert Carl (BC) Jordan, Billie Joe Jordan, Earl Wayne Jordan, Juanita Pauline Jordan Page, George Eugene (Gene) Jordan, and John Henry Jordan.
Funeralservicescelebrating Buddy’s life were held January 11, 2025, at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Woodard and Pastor Kaiya Kershaw officiating. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery, Dublin. Serving as pallbearers were Trey Jordan, Scott Jordan, Tanner Jordan, Trevor Jordan, Bean Carter and Jory McKeithen. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Holmes, Tommy Wilson, John Ulstrom, Don Marable and Dr. Michael Burk.
