A memorial service for Jack Baxter Crouch will be on Wednesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mineral Wells, Texas. At the family’s request, please honor Jack by wearing purple to the service as he was a very proud TCU Horned Frog.

Jack Baxter Crouch was born October 2, 1936, in Dallas, Texas to Marguerite (Ragsdale) and Robert Crouch. He was raised in Dublin Texas and attended Dublin High School. Jack was recruited by the United States Army while in High School, and served in the National Security Agency in Okinawa, Japan for two years. He went on to graduate from Texas Christian University. Jack was a salesman for Heinz, Gulf Oil, and various agricultural chemical companies. He later owned and operated Athens Feed and Supply, and then worked at MHMR until his retirement. Jack never met a stranger, and his larger-than-life personality will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents who helped raise him, Maude Mae and Charles T. Crouch, Jr.; his father and stepmother, Robert and Willie Mae Crouch; his mother and stepfather, Marguerite and Joe Bowman; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Gayle Crouch; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jean Crouch, and niece, Lessa Crouch Click. Jack loved his special animals, Pet, Gracie Frances, and Peanut.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Alvarado; his daughters Jana Jimenez (Felix); Julie Smith (Larry); Dorie Tucker (Matt); and Christie Aparicio (Troy); his grandchildren, Noah Richmond and Lexie Aparicio; his sister, Linda Crouch; and half-brother, Joe Bowman, Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
