Elvira Lopez went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 20, 2023, with family by her side. She worked as a seamstress for the local Sewing Factory until she retired and sewed at home for the public until just two weeks ago. She is well known for her ability to repair or mend any article of clothing; she will be greatly missed. Her number one passion was her daughter and granddaughters. She was the mainstay of her Lozano family! She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and had lived in Dublin for 72 years. She was born in Elgin, Texas on January 12,1937.

Elvira married her best friend, Mike Lopez, on August 25, 1975, together they had one daughter, Sandra Kay Lopez, and they were happily married for 41 years.

Elvira was predeceased by her parents Fidel and Andrea Lozano, two sisters, Jovita, and Eloisa Lozano, two brothers, Dannis and Freddy Lozano.

Elvira is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kay and husband, Tim Sanders, two granddaughters, Faye, and Kenzie Sanders, two sisters, Eva Anguelo of San Jose, California, Elizabeth Clemens, and Adan of Mineral Wells, Texas, four brothers, Reno Lozano of Universal City, Texas, Rudy Lozano and wife, Kim of Redding, California, Raymond Lozano and wife, Nancy of Comanche, Texas, and Fidel Lozano and wife, Dora of Zapata, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless close friends. She was loved by those who knew her best!

Services were Dec. 23, 2023, at Harrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Victor Castillo officiating. Interment to follow at New Dublin Liveoak Cemetery.
