Billy Mack Barnes, 72, left his earthly family and joined his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. He was born in Dublin, Texas on April 6, 1948, to Billy Lee Barnes and JoNell Koonce Barnes.

At the age of 11, he dedicated his life to the Lord alongside his two brothers, Randy and Phil, at Duster Church. He married his wife, Judy Bays, on May 31, 1969, in Highland, Texas and they had a loving and fruitful marriage of 51 years.

He and his wife raised two daughters, Amanda and Misty, together.

Billy Mack was a 3rd generation Comanche County Farmer and had a successful peanut farming career of many years.

He loved more than anything spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson out on the farm.

He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to many, and a man who was steadfast and strong to all. He was the best husband, Dad, and PePaw that anyone could ask for.

Billy Mack is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters, Amanda and husband Junior Pacheco; Misty and husband Shane Gilliam M.D.; four grandsons, Eric and wife Brooke Lampman, Cody Lampman, Evan Gilliam and fiance Bryten Yeary, and Luke Gilliam; one granddaughter, Ella Pacheco; one greatgrandson, McLane Lampman; two brothers, Randy and wife Paula Barnes, and Phil and wife Donna Barnes. He had nieces, nephews, and many extended family he loved so much.

Billy Mack was preceded in death by his mother, JoNell Koonce Barnes; father, Billy Lee Barnes; mother-in-law, Ila Mae Bays; and father-in-law, Louis Bays.

Graveside funeral services celebrating Billy Mack’s life were held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 11 a.m. in Comyn Cemetery with Scott Otto and Brother Burt Atkins officiating.
