The Dublin Public Library has several special activities in the next couple of weeks for the benefit of the local community.

They will be hosting a Makerspace hour on Friday, March 8 at 4 p.m. This is a passive program for school age children to encourage creativity with provided materials. At least one activity and station is provided weekly. The March 8 session will focus on Legos.

On Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m., Beth Davis will teach patrons about “Kitchen Medicine.” Davis started on the path to become a Master and Clinical herbalist more than 14 years ago as she was recovering from a traumatic brain injury. In the Saturday class, Davis will teach about different kitchen spices and their potential medicinal benefits.

The schedule ramps up with the arrival of Spring Break as the library hosts a Gamer Party Tuesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. Activities based on fanfavorite videogames will be hosted and Mr. P’s Party Rentals will be on site with a brand new game.

Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will make the first of two planned appearances next week on Wednesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. as they host storytime complete with crafts and snacks.

The weekly Toddler time for children 6 months to 24 months will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 10 a.m.

On Friday, March 15 at 1 p.m. the library invites kids to a Wackadoo Party inspired by a popular cartoon series. (If you know, you know.)

CTFAC will be back at the library during the St. Patrick’s celebration on Saturday, March 16 as they host a Colorful Journey based on Dolly Parton’s book, “I am A Rainbow.” The program will start at 11 a.m. and invite kids to paint with all the colors of the rainbow in recognition of the book which presents different feelings as colors.

The Library is located at 206 W. Blackjack. Is is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
