As Women’s Missionary Union members gathered at the Community Baptist Church (505 Mesquite), they were greeted by an ornate display of Nativity scenes, heirloom tablecloths and festive decor, all centered around a large Christmas tree behind the display tables.
The decorations were secured by Jan Rutledge, Glenda Kelley and Enith Murray who were glad to show off the Nativity table, featuringpiecesfromcountries such as Peru, Uganda, China and Costa Rica. There was even a box of gold, frankincense and myrrh so guests could see the genuine gifts presented to Jesus by the three wise men.
It all provided a pleasant backdrop as the gathering enjoyed homemade food and asalways, heardaninformative presentation about the power of mission work around the world.
The Dublin WMU is partnered with Transformation Pathway (Dublin’s Christian Women’s Job Corps ministry) and meets at Community Baptist at 11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month.
