Library Log

Body

Patrons of the Dublin Public Library have until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 to check out books, media and devices before the building is closed for renovations.

Plans are to keep the library closed from Nov. 18-Dec. 8.

No items will be checked out during the closure, and no late fees will be charged for items checked out.

During this time, the library will be receiving renovations for updated aesthetics and to make it easier for patrons to access high-demand items based on data collected by head librarian Adina Dunn.

The project will include new furniture and shelving for inside the library, and give the library a chance to reorganize its space, switching the teen and children’s area to better accommodate those utilizing the library.

The work is being facilitated by funds approved by the Dublin City Council, an $89,610 grant from the Tocker Foundations and generous donations from STAR Council and the Erath County Genealogy Society.
