“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.- Mark 13:33 Messiah Jesus warned us: “You will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass.”Only twice before in the history of mankind did we face the threat of great war. We face it again today in Europe and the Middle East. Jesus went on to say that there will be earthquakes in various places, and famines and troubles. We’re told that earthquakes greater than magnitude 8.0 have struck the earth at a record-high rate since 2004. The whole planet has recently endured a pandemic of unprecedented scale. Jesus went on to say that we will be hated by all for his name’s sake. Christian persecution agencies report that every 2 hours a Christian is martyred for his faith. But then Jesus added, “He who endures to the end shall be saved.”
We are, indeed, nearing the return of Jesus. Jesus promised that he would come back and he gave us signs that point to his return. With so many events taking place around the world that point to his imminent return, we can become consumed by speculation and assumption. However, concerning his return, Jesus instructed us to simply watch and pray, for no one will know the hour of his return.
Believer, we live in perilous times. It will become increasingly difficult to nail our colours to the mast and declare our faith in the Messiah. The earth is literally warming up for the return of Jesus. Jesus warned us that in this world we will face trials, tribulation, persecution, disaster, war, pestilence and famine but he added, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
The enemy of our souls is intent on killing, stealing and destroying but our Lord has given us life in abundance; not only in the world to come but in this world, too. Stand strong. Watch and pray. Pray for the expansion of God’s Kingdom in this world. Pray for peace and deliverance. Declare the praises of him who raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in glory and rejoice in Christ’s soon return. Christ in you is your only hope of glory.
God-tracking is watching and praying for Christ’s return.
SO, DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY “I pray the extension of your Kingdom during these terrifying times than many will come to know Christ as the hope for glory.”
“Come soon, Lord Jesus! We face so many difficulties in the world today. Help us to be strong in you and the strength of your might. Forgive me for jumping to conclusions and speculating about your return. I realise there is no way any person on earth will know the hour of your return. So, I choose now to simply watch and pray. I pray for peace and strength within the Body of Christ. I pray for protection and deliverance from persecution. And I pray for the extension of your Kingdom during these terrifying times that many will come to know Christ as the only hope for glory. Amen.”
