BROWNWOOD
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 87-89 degrees; 6.11 feet below pool. Black bass to 5.54 pounds are good on shaky heads, glide baits, crankbaits and soft plastic worms in 5-18 feet of water early and late in the day. Crappie are slow in brush piles on jigs and on minnows around the docks in 8-12 feet of water. White bass are fair to 1.00 pound in the lights or schooling around the dam mid morning on jigs and minnows. Catfish are fair to 6 pounds on jug lines and trotlines using perch and cut bait.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 86-92 degrees; 0.38 feet below pool. Thermocline is fairly shallow in most areas, hovering around 15-20 feet deep. Largemouth bass to 6 pounds are possible on soft plastics, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Largemouth bass are being caught on main lake points, by deeper docks and in the river above Granbury. Granbury striped bass continue to be good to 11 pounds on live shad and downrigged jigs with curly trailers on the lower ends. Best striped bass action is reported in front of Decordova Subdivision. Sand bass action is fair to slow on slabs and rattle traps near Decordova and near Indian Harbor. Crappie action continues to be good on submerged structure on jigs and small minnows.
POSSUM KINGDOM
FAIR. Water clear; 86-90 degrees; 0.54 feet below pool. Striper fishing is good using live bait or trolling with chartreuse, yellow, and white jigs. Look for fish in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to slow on sandy points in 20-40 feet of water. Use small slabs or spoons in white, chartreuse, or silver when found. Catfish are fair on cut shad or punch bait fished in 2-10 feet of water. Water clarity ranges from 4-10 feet depending on location..
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 86-89 degrees; 11.02 feet below pool. Catfish are good with cheese bait in deeper water. Crappie are fair on brush piles.
WEATHERFORD
SLOW. Water stained; 88 degrees; 8.42 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species while the water temperature is hot. Anticipate heavy boater traffic through the weekend. Crappie are slow with mostly undersized catches on main lake points. Catfish are slow to fair with a few catches on the rocks near the dam. Bass are slow in deeper water.
WHITNEY
GREAT. Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 5.98 feet below pool. Striper limits continue to be common on live or cut bait fished from Cedar Creek to the Island on channel ledges. Largemouth bass are good to excellent near mid-lake cliffs and in the river near Kimball Bend.
