While many youngsters have been enjoying their summers, 12-year-old Wyatt Ramos has been busy as an entrepreneur with his business Wyatt’s Cold Ones.
The Stephenville based business was welcomed into Dublin with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Saturday, July 29 at the City Park as a vendor for the Stephenville Area Elks Lodge annual BBQ Cookoff event and car show.
“Today’s ribbon cutting ceremony not only celebrates the inauguration of ‘Wyatt’s Cold Ones’ but also represents a celebration of entrepreneurship, creativity and collaboration. As a community, we stand united in supporting and nurturing young talents like Wyatt, who play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our local economy,” Chamber President Blanca Martineau said.
Wyatt, who does business under JW Vending Event Rental on Facebook, offers novelty ice cream treats from a portable cart.
More importantly than making money as a business, Wyatt wants to help out the community.
“I dream of owning a business where I can one day donate treats to those in need,” he said. “The more I make, the more I can give back.”
Wyatt will be attending Henderson Junior High in Stephenville and enjoys participating in Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing when he isn’t working.
“I really enjoy getting to travel to car shows,” he said. “I like looking at old cars.”
