Body

BROWNWOOD

Water slightly stained; 65-70 degrees; 9.05 feet below pool. Black bass to 11.17 pounds are good on topwater walking baits, Alabama rigs, jigs, and crankbaits in 4-18 feet of water . The bass are in post spawn and following the shad spawn. Crappie good around the lake in 2-5 feet of water on jigs and 8-14 feet of water on minnows. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds around

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 70 degrees; 1.90 feet below pool. Granbury Lake levels are falling so it can be difficult to launch and navigate in some areas. Water temperatures are near the 70 degree mark on the main lake and even higher in the backs of sloughs and creeks. Striped bass are good to 11 pounds on live bait fished near Decordova and near Blue Water Shores. Large blue and yellow catfish continue to be caught on cut bait on the upper ends near Hunter Park. Sand bass are being caught on slabs and spinnerbaits in town and near Decordova subdivision near channel breaks in about 20 feet of water.

POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water clear; 64-68 degrees; 5.66 feet below pool. Sand bass are fair using slabs and small white and chartreuse jigs in 18-30 feet of water. Catfish are fair on cut and live shad are great in 20-40 feet of water close to or on bottom. Water clarity is 2-15 feet of water.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 69 degrees; 9.98 feet below pool. Blue catfish are biting best at night in deeper water. Marking fish on ledges and deeper structure from 10-18 feet of water. Shad are hard to find, and the day bite is slow.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 68 degrees; 8.11 feet below pool. Look for fishing to pick up in the shallows when the shad spawn begins. Bass are slow fishingpostspawnpatterns with chatterbaits, flukes, and wacky worms. Crappie are fair on deeper brush piles in the main lake. Catfish are fair off the rocks near the dam on shad and cut bait. White bass are slow on slabs.

WHITNEY

GREAT. Water lightly stained; 69 degrees; 5.73 feet below pool. Whitney striper action continues to be excellent from the Island to Cedar Creek near channel ledges.
