The intersection of Clinton and Patrick was awash in darkness after a transformer near the Patrick Street Church of Christ was hit by lightning Saturday about 7 p.m. and led to a power outage in 518 businesses and residences. Temporary stop signs were placed at each corner of the intersection while Dublin PD flashed lights to help with visibility. Crews began working quickly, and power was restored to those affected around 2:30 a.m.
