After seven months without a city manager, the Dublin City Council could vote as early as tonight on a candidate to fill the slot.
The council has interviewed three candidates referred to them by the Placement Source, a Fort Worth executive search firm. Two other candidates were also recommended, but one has already accepted another position and the other didn’t arrive for a scheduled interview.
The council is scheduled to meet in executive session at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss the candidates and will reconvene in open session to take action.
The city manager’s position has been vacant since the termination of Tom Wilder in July.
The council will meet in regular session Monday. Agenda items may include reports from the public safety committee concerning the police department and ambulance service, and the parks department concerning improvements at the city swimming pool. The preliminary agenda also included appointment of a city secretary.
